CHECK-OUT

Check-out is only possible during opening hours of the accommodation office

OBLIGATIONS OF THE RESIDENT:

1. CLEAN THE APARTMENT

ROOM:

  • place the furniture in its original position
  • leave pillows and cushions on the beds
  • leave unused pillows and cushions in a bag in the space above the wardrobe
  • sweep and mop the floor, including under tables and beds
  • empty cabinets, shelves, tables, including drawers, and wash them inside and out
  • wash the room door, including the door frame and handle
  • wash the light switch
  • wash the windows and sill inside
  • wipe down the radiator
  • do not peel posters off the wallpaper

 

TOILETS AND BATHROOM:

  • wash the floor in the toilet and bathroom
  • wash the sinks
  • wash mirrors and light fittings above mirrors
  • wash the shelves
  • wash the shower cubicle
  • wash the taps on the sinks as well as in the shower cubicle, remove limescale
  • wash the tiles on the walls, remove limescale
  • wash the toilet (bowl, slab) and the area behind the toilet
  • wash the toilet and bathroom doors, including the frame and handle
  • remove any residual waste from the sink and shower drain


CORRIDOR (+ KITCHENETTE):

  • wash the front door, including the door frame and handle
  • empty the kitchen cabinets (nothing left in the cabinets when the last person checks-out)
  • wash all shelves, cabinet doors (both outside and inside)
  • wash the cooker (including underneath), clean the walls around the cooker
  • wash the hob under and around the cooker
  • wash the light switches
  • fridge: pull the cord out of the socket, unplug the fridge, wash the floor under the fridge and the area behind the fridge, defrost, wash, wipe dry and then leave the fridge switched off and open
  • sweep and mop the floor throughout the hallway
  • take out the rubbish, wash the dustbin and dustpan
  • remove all own electrical appliances from DHR
  • a dustbin, dustpan and broom must be left in the corridor as part of the inventory

 

BALCONY (ONLY FOR ROOMS WITH A BALCONY):

  • remove all things from the balcony
  • wash the balcony

 

2. ARRANGE FOR AN INSPECTION OF THE APARTMENT

  • residents staying in blocks D1 and D2 pick up an inventory record card in D1 block from the bed linen store
  • if the resident has borrowed bed linen, he/she will hand it in at the  bed linen store in block D1
  • the resident will arrange a time for the room to be checked and handed in by the maintenance person (in the workshop between the blocks) and the cleaner (in the cleaners' room on the relevant floor)

 

3. ROOM INSPECTION PROCEDURE

  • the maintenance worker checks the apartment, takes 2 keys (for the apartment and for the room)
  • the cleaner checks the cleanliness of the apartment
  • the maintenance worker and the cleaning lady confirm by their signatures that the check has been carried out and that they have received the keys on the inventory record card

 

4. REPORT TO THE ACCOMMODATION OFFICE D1 OR D2 ACCORDING TO THE ACCOMMODATION BLOCK

  • check-out at the accommodation office, hand over the accommodation card + inventory record with the signature of the maintenance and cleaning staff
  • the resident hands over the internet cable
  • the resident signs the Agreement on the Early Termination of the Accommodation Contract
  • any arrears for accommodation, contractual penalties and damages caused to the property of DHR will be deducted from the deposit
  • the accommodation will be terminated in the electronic accommodation system
  • the security deposit, or part thereof, will be returned to the accommodation holder's account entered at the time of check-in
  • in the event of failure to settle contractual obligations (financial claims) by the date of check-out, the guest will lose the right to accommodation in all accommodation facilities of the Comenius University
  • if the resident does not hand over the accommodation space by the end of the accommodation in accordance with the Accommodation Contract and DR, he/she is obliged to pay a contractual penalty of 100,- € and a contractual penalty in the amount of the daily price for accommodation valid at the time of the delay calculated according to the actual number of days of delay.

 

Damages to accommodation apartments are fully covered by the residents in the amount determined by the PRICE LIST OF DAMAGES
