GENERAL INFORMATION
Summer accommodation ("SA”) is only provided to students of higher education institutions in Slovakia, including students in their final year who continue staying at CU Družba.
Due to technical reasons, LU accommodation will not be provided in the following rooms:
Block D1 (the listed rooms in D1 will also be excluded from the accommodation capacity in the new academic year; stabilization is not possible):

RECONSTRUCTIONS: During July and August, renovation work will take place on Floors 1, 2 and 3, and in selected accommodation units, which will result in reduced comfort for all guests due to daytime noise. If you wish, you can reserve an SA bed in block D1.
SA will only be provided to students with no outstanding contractual obligations from the academic year 2024/2025, also including fines.
Students who continue to occupy the same room during the summer need to visit the accommodation department after meeting all reservation requirements between 3 June and 20 June to sign a new accommodation contract.
Students who move to another room for the summer shall follow the instructions in the section SUMMER ACCOMMODATION ROOM TRANSFER below.
Students not currently accommodated at CU Družba may, once they meet the reservation requirements, check in to their summer accommodation by presenting themselves to the Accommodation Department, from 1 July, 2025 onwards, during opening hours. Check-ins do not take place on the weekends and on holidays.
EXTENDED EXAMINATION PERIOD
Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy (FPHARM CU) and the Faculty of Medicine (FMED CU) may extend their accommodation due to the prolonged exam period – until July 4, 2025 (FPHARM CU) or July 11, 2025 (FMED CU) at the latest. Applications for the accommodation extension must be submitted between May 21 and June 13 via this online FORM.
If you are only interested in summer accommodation for the extended exam period, you must pay €60 by June 15. The accommodation fee remains the same as during the academic year. The amount due will be calculated proportionally according to the number of nights between June 30 and July 4/11 and deducted from the €60. The remaining balance will be refunded after proper check-out, together with the deposit. The payment of €60 must be credited to the Družba UK account – IBAN: SK70 8180 0000 0070 0067 1666 no later than June 15 or by the day you come to sign the new accommodation contract, whichever occurs first. Please use your UOČ (University Personal ID number) as the variable symbol.
Students who submitted the request for extended accommodation until July 11 must visit the accommodation office in their assigned block between June 2 and June 20 to sign the new accommodation contract.
At the end of your stay, you are required to check out properly in accordance with the CHECK-OUT instructions.

HOW AND WHEN TO RESERVE
Students should send in applications between 21 May and 13 June, 2025 via the online FORM.
Those who fail to apply by 15 June 2025, will no longer be entitled to summer accommodation.
ACCOMMODATION FEE
July (01 July – 31 July 2025)

- Double room (unit): €173 / bed

Only students who were granted accommodation at CU Družba in the next academic year 2025/2026 may extend their SU from 22 August, 2025 to 31 August, 2025. The additional accommodation fee to cover the period from 22 August to 31 August, 2024 is:
- Triple room (unit): €47,32 / bed
- Double room (unit): €50,23 / bed
- Single room (hotel): €68,81 / bed
- Double room (hotel): €59,23 / bed
PAYMENT METHOD ACCOMMODATION FEE
Guests shall pay the accommodation fee by bank transfer to the account number (IBAN): SK70 8180 0000 0070 0067 1666. The Student Personal Number assigned by the University (UOC) must be used as variable symbol and the student’s name must be entered in the ‘information for beneficiary’ field. The payment is only considered fully paid once the amount is credited to the accommodation provider's account.
Deposit 100 €:
a) if the SA applicant is already a guest at CU Družba, the deposit from the academic year is carried over;
b) if the SA applicant is not a guest at CU Družba, the deposit shall be paid to the account number (IBAN): SK70 8180 0000 0070 0067 1666. The Student Personal Number assigned by the University (UOC) must be used as variable symbol for the transfer.
PAYMENT OF THE ACCOMMODATION FEE AND DEPOSIT
for July: by 15 June, 2025 by bank transfer (by this date the payment must be credited to CU Družba’s account)
for August: by 31 July 2025 by bank transfer (by this date the payment must be credited to CU Družba’s account)
The student’s reservation will be cancelled unless the accommodation fee for July’s SA is credited to the account of CU Družba on time.
ACCOMMODATION TAX
Those students who completed their studies in the current academic year and will not continue their full-time study in the next academic year shall pay an accommodation tax (city tax) of 3 € per night in accordance with the Bratislava city by-law. The accommodation tax is due at the same time as the accommodation fee.
Other students are exempt from the accommodation tax.
RESERVATION CANCELLATION
If the July accommodation fee was paid on time but the student decides to cancel their reservation by 22 June, 2025 by writing to ubytovaciedruzba.uniba.sk, the paid accommodation fee will be returned in full by 31 July 2025. A cancellation fee of 20 € will be charged for any reservations cancelled after 22 June 2025.
CHECK-IN

SUMMER ACCOMMODATION OF PHD STUDENTS
Those who have contracts expiring by 31 August, 2025 do not need to reserve summer accommodation. For PhD students the accommodation fee and method of payment for summer accommodation are the same as during the academic year. The student’s guest card from the academic year also remains valid during the summer.
MANDATORY SUMMER TRAINEESHIPS
Summer accommodation for students who are required to complete a mandatory summer internship is only possible upon presenting an official confirmation of the internship. This confirmation must be submitted to the accommodation office staff upon arrival. The document must clearly state that the internship is a compulsory educational activity directly related to the student's study program at CU. Students from the Faculty of Medicine who will be completing mandatory internships are not required to submit confirmation. Students requesting summer accommodation due to mandatory internships must reserve their stay via this online FORM no later than 13 June 2025.
ACCOMMODATION FEE AND DEPOSIT
If you are only interested in accommodation for the duration of your mandatory summer traineeship you pay the same monthly fee as during the academic year. If, in addition to the mandatory summer traineeship, you are also interested in accommodation for private reasons, you pay the full price of SA for private reasons. You will be charged an accommodation fee calculated according to the length of the mandatory study activity in nights and the remaining amount will be returned to you upon check-out.
You need to make sure that the full accommodation fee is credited to the account of CU Družba by 15 June at the IBAN account number: SK70 8180 0000 0070 0067 1666. The Student Personal Number assigned by the University (UOC) must be used as variable symbol for the transfer.
A deposit of 100 € must also be credited to the account of CU Družba before check-in. If the SA applicant is already a guest at CU Družba, the deposit from the academic year is carried over.
CHECK-IN
Students who continue to occupy the same room during the summer need to visit accommodation department after meeting all reservation requirements between 2 June and 20 June to sign a new accommodation contract.
Students who transfer to another room for their SA may transfer on the dates specified in the SUMMER ACCOMMODATION ROOM TRANSFER section below.
Students who are currently not guests at CU Družba may check in on the workday immediately preceding their mandatory study activity, but no earlier than 1 July, 2025 at the Accommodation Department. Check-ins do not take place on the weekends and on holidays.
Students must present to the accommodation department the following:
- confirmation of summer traineeship at CU,
- ID (national ID card or passport),
- ISIC,
- photo – about 3 x 4 cm, head height no less than 3 cm.
Students then receive two copies of the accommodation contract to be filled out and signed.
Students who want bed linens can obtain them from the bed linen store in Block D1.
Students receive the keys to their rooms in the key room in Block D1.
CHECK-OUT
Students may check out on the workday immediately following the end of their mandatory study activity by following the instructions for CHECK-OUT.
SHORT-TERM SA DURING STATE EXAMS AND FINAL THESIS DEFENSE
This type of summer accommodation is only offered to students who take state exams or present their final thesis defense during the summer, and is subject to sending in an e-mail confirmation of the date of the exam or defense, provided by the faculty's study department.
DATES OF ACCOMMODATION
Students may check-in as early as 1 July, 2025, and as late as 21 August, 2025. This type of accommodation may not exceed 3 days/2 nights (the day before, during and after the exam/defense). Check-in and check-out are only possible during workdays and office hours of the accommodation department. Check-ins or check-outs do not take place on the weekends or on holidays.
If the date of your exam is:
- on Monday, you may check in on Monday or the preceding Friday (you only pay for the night from Sunday to Monday, and/or for the night following the day of the exam, i.e. from Monday to Tuesday),
- on Friday, you can check out on Friday by 2.30 p.m., or the next Monday between 7:30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. (you only pay for the night from Friday to Saturday, or for the night preceding the day of the exam, i.e. from Thursday to Friday).
RESERVATIONS
Accommodation due to exams need to be reserved at least five workdays in advance. It is not possible to reserve a specific bed.
Reservations are only possible using the online FORM.
Your reservation is only confirmed once we send you an e-mail confirmation.
FEE AND METHOD OF PAYMENT
For SA related to state exams/thesis defense, the students pay an advance fee of 50 € to the account number (IBAN): SK70 8180 0000 0070 0067 1666. The Student Personal Number assigned by the University (UOC) must be used as variable symbol for the transfer. If no personal number has been assigned to the student, then their the name and surname need to be indicated in the transfer. Please send the exam confirmation by email to ubytovaciedruzba.uniba.sk.
The accommodation fee is 14 € per night, to be deducted from the student’s advance payment upon check-out. The outstanding balance will be returned to the student’s indicated bank account.
CHECK-IN
Students may check-in as early as 1 July, 2025, and as late as 21 August, 2025, during the opening hours of the accommodation department.
At check-in, the students present the following:
- confirmation of the date of the state exam/final thesis defense,
- ID (national ID card or passport),
- ISIC.
Students who want bed linens can obtain them from the bed linen store in Block D1. Students receive the keys to their rooms in the key room in Block D1.
CHECK-OUT
At the end of SA students are required to check out as per the instructions for CHECK-OUT.
VISITS IN RESIDENTS' ROOMS BETWEEN 12:00 AM AND 7:00 AM
Visitors staying in student rooms during the months of July - August are charged 12.50 € per night. Visitors do not need to be students. Visitors who are not students pay an additional accommodation tax of 3 € per night.
The payments for visitor stays must be paid by the accommodated person via bank transfer to the account of CU Družba after the visitor’s check-out.
SUMMER ACCOMMODATION ROOM TRANSFER
This only applies to students who are guests at CU Družba and are transferring to another room for their summer accommodation, and who satisfied all the requirements for SA. Transfers will occur between 23 and 30 June, 2025.
On 23 June at the earliest the student requests information from the Accommodation Department whether the bed that was assigned to the student for SA has been vacated. If the bed is vacant, the student may begin the transfer process, starting on 23 June:
- at the Accommodation Department, the student fills out the summer accommodation contract,
- if the student had bed linens, they need to be returned and a clean set obtained from bed linen store in Block D1,
- in the D1 key room, the student receives the keys to the new room,
- at this point the student is in possession of two sets of keys - one set for their old room and one set for the new room,
- on the same day the student is required to move their possessions from the old room to the new room and to check out of their original room according to the CHECK-OUT INSTRUCTIONS,
- On the same day the student returns to the Accommodation Department, returning the check-out ticket signed by the maintenance staff and the room-cleaning staff, as well as the old guest card,
- a new guest card is issued to the student at the Accommodation Department.
Students who fail to transfer by 30 June, 2025 will be changed a contract penalty of 100 € as per the Accommodation Contract, Article V, para 3.
